So the shit is starting to hit the fan.
Nick was sacked on Friday, but at least now I'll get to meet his parents.

I'm getting more responsibility put on me at work. Leanne was pulled up on how unprofessional her actions have been (calling in sick, requesting peaktimes etc). And she's made it perfectly clear that she didn't think what she did was wrong and will be leaving the company as soon as she finds another job. So Gillian's getting me prepared to take the position on myself.
If I am left by myself I expect to get a pay rise, I only get £5.35/hr and I'm resricted to a 40hr week. But hopefully with all this extra work I have to do I'll be allowed more hours so I can use the office.

Ramble ramble ramble.

When I took the job I wasn't expecting it to take over my life. But this might just be the hurdle I need to jump to get where I'm going.

On a more nervous note, I'm meeting Nick's parents this weekend. I dunno what to wear, I need sensible shoes. We'll be camping I've never been camping.

I found out about them on Amazon in the "You might also like..." section, watched the video on the listing and completly fell in love. Next thing I know they're every where.

So what's been up the last two weeks... well not much. There's a whole load of stuff going on at work that I'm not allowed to talk about until it all settles down. I'm possibly the only person in my department who hasn't gotten ill yet. But I have been stressed to the point of having Monter sized head ache and a mega breakout on my chin.

I've discussed the weight issue with Nick and he still won't budge on letting me have a set of scales. But he's ok with me wanting to lose 4 lbs (but I'd prefer to lose 7lbs). The only condition is that I do it sensibly and not starve myself.

So I'm gonna finish watching Breakfast a tiffany's and the get ready to go out.

I wore lolita for the first time in ages yesterday.

And I loved every minute.
Yesterday it rained almost constantly and I wanted to wear this jsk since I got it. So stuff the weather.

I went into town with Anna. We were meant to go see a film, but we started wondering round the shops and went to Starbucks (Mmmm!). It wasn't until we were waiting for the bus home that we remembered, but it to far to walk in the rain when we were already wet.

I got my credit card bill in (£873.32) Which is why I'm selling a big portion of of my loli collection. Also Anna and I want to buy either a house or a flat together and we each want to put down a £5000 deposit. (maybe I should stop buying junk food.)

I've got a new Candy Scars collection coming in August (finally). It going to include earrings, cute purses and fake nail sets. Hopefully I'll get some necklaces made as well. I can't wait for it all to arrive and I can start creating again.

I am now 20 yrs old and I think I'm finally discovering myself as a person and grown into my skin. I finally know what I want in life and how to get it. The first step is getting out of Codonas before I kill myself. And I'm not saying that just for effect. Working there makes so depressed, stressed and so utterly worthless I do sometimes want to through myself in front of a truck. Sometimes I won't leave the house alone on my days off because I'm scared of going past roads and bridges incase I hurt myself. I'm going to begin saving £200 every month and register as self employed in May next year. A either open a make-up store, a clothing and accesories store or a combination of both. So much to share today...Why?

So let's start with a bang. I came over to my parents' today to check for mail (none as usual..Come on Amex you asses) and there was Emma. She and Brian broke up and she went back to stay with her mum in the Midlands. The removal guys were supposed to pick her up between 4 and 6 pm but didn't turn up til nearly 10pm. They were behind on a job in Edinburgh and got stuck in traffic near Sterling. I actually got a chance to bond with her today, just a little too late. I nearly cried when she hugged me goodbye. Brian has apparently been a complete jerk to her since she came back from visiting her mum. He never knows a good thing when he has it.
Speaking of the Jackass, he went to the Council yesterday and claim Mum was going to throw him out. They called Mum for confirmation and she's taken the opertunity to get him out the house. She said that if he lived on his own for a while then he might appreciate the things Mum does for him a bit more. So until he moves out, I'm allowed to store most of my stuff in the room again. Good thing too I have a lot of stuff arriving soon.(I'll expand later)

So as I said before, I've been promoted and with that comes a new uniform. I now have to wear a black blouse instead of the disgusting blue sack. Yeah, trying to find a Plain black blouse in a size 8 that isn't linen in Aberdeen is actually impossible. I ended up with a size 10, but it's better than nothing. Especially since Leanne was wearing a blouse her very next shift. And I got new work shoes too. My big and baby toes were starting to stick out of my last pair.

Speak of shoes I wore these so much I made penny sized hole in the sole. (oh my beloved teaparties) I finally took them to the cobbeller today. To get them re-heeled is £8.95 and to re-sole them is £14.95. That's almost the cost of a new pair. But they're doing a special, get them re-soled and they get re-heeled for free. Yay!

I got my invoice from Qcute for my shoes (paid!), all my Loli purchases are in the Celga warehouse and I got the invoice for my item in the Anna House GO (paying Tues). So thank goodness I'll have some more storage space.

I had an argument with my wool today. I dropped a stitch and pulled out the wool to pick it up. But everytime I tried to put the wool back on the needle more stitches would fall out. I got so stressed that I threw it across the room and it scared the budgies. It's fixed no thankfully, the example peice should be finished soon if there are no more mishaps.
I found really good wool sources, I'll make a better post tomorrow cos i don't want to hotlink the pictures.

I am now department supervisor for Ramboland along with Leanne. I signed my contract today and I'm getting a payrise. I'm going from £4.80/hr to £5.35 and I'm getting review in three months so it might go up again.

Wow! Five days already huh?
My week in a rundown:
Mon: worked in golf.
Tues: Supposed to be my day off, but due to lack of staff, I had to come in and cook for a party. I was exhausted by the time I got to class and then discovered I didn't have half my materials with me (including paper). I was so tired I decided to get the bus to Tilly instead of walking. (And heck, you'll never guess!) Max from class, the guy I've been accidentally stalking, appeared at the bus stop. Turns out he lives in the nicer part of Tillydrone (yes, there is a nicer part).
wed: work again. OMG! people and lost property. Sorry, But you're the Jackass that didn't look after your shit, don't start ranting at me cos it hasn't been handed in.
Thurs: This was interesting. Tillydrone has like a mini town centre. All it's missing is clothes shops. There's a farmfoods, iceland, chalmer's baker, TSB, Clydesdale, Bank of Scotland, Loyds pharmacy, Pound stretcher and an Au Naturale. Pound stretcher btw now stocks all the unsold stock from Woolworths. I got a Woolies iron. How grown up of me to buy an iron and get excited about it lol.

And then today: Meh same old.

Today was a waste

Today's run down:
I woke up at 8.30am. I text Anna to see if she wanted to meet up. We arranged for 1pm outside the Vue cos she had to go see her Gran. Come 11.30am she text me to ask if I wanted to go eat some place first, that was fine. But I was behind time looking for tights in my parents house (nightmare), so I called her to ask if I could meet her outside her Gran's cos I was late. She hadn't even had her shower yet, so we agreed to meet outside the library at 1pm. SO I'm there, she's not, then she calls me. She's still at home, so I go up to her house to get her.
And you can just tell what happens next.
We get into town rather late and by the time we finish lunch and get to the Vue we've missed the start of all the films and the next showings aren't for another 2-3hrs.
Fuck that Dear!
We go home and we're at mine for like 10min when she gets a call that she has to go visit her Gran. I'm exausted and I get really freaked out by her Gran. So I ain't going.
That took up most of my day.

The last few hours I've been listening to PJ Harvey and knitting. I can't believe it took me so long to finally listen to some PJ Harvey. She's like a mix between Tori Amos, Regina Spektor and Rasputina and I'm loving it. I'm really into the 'Rid of me' album.

I've also been on youtube a lot the last few days watch Xsparkage's channel. Her website (www.xsparkage.com) is addictive too! I've thrown a lot of my make-up out cos, I'd had it for over 4yrs. And for things like lipgloss, eye linner, mascara and foundation, that's pretty gross. And after watching Leesha's channel and reading the blog, I've just been so inspired. I actually wore some make-up today that wasn't just foundation and eye liner. It's introducing me to a whole new world of self expression.

Also before I go Random Thought:
I've been wanting pastel coloured cardigans for ages but I can't find anywhere that makes them in a colour other than Pink. So I've began knitting my own. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in comissioning cardigans.
It would be a flat fee of £30. Available in white, baby: pink, blue, lilac, yellow and mint. You could also choose between 4ply, Double knit and mother pearl double knit (which has a strand of silvery ply running through)
Estimated prodution time is between 24-36hrs of work.

Yesterday was fun

So I'm feeling a lot better than I did in my last post.
I went out with Anna yesterday and that really cheered me up. We went to Jimmy Chungs's for Breakfast/lunch and and I almost ate a really sharp bone lol. I swear it almost cut my cheek.
Then we walked down Union street and watched hundreds of bikers go by. Anna wanted to go shopping and she ended up spending almost £100. She literally walked in to Miss selfidge picked the first pair of skinny looking jeans in a size 10, checked the length and bought them without trying them on. These jeans are £25.
She always says she really want skinny jeans but she never actually buys them. She picks up slim fit jeans and squees OMG SKINNIES, but when she picks up proper drainpipes she thinks they're disgusting. That's Anna all over though, she'll say she desperately wants something and when she has it she'll get bored really quick. Like she keeps eyeing up a jacket in H&M which is like £40, she used to own a jacket the same style but gave it away to another friend of her's cos she claimed it looked chavvy. The only difference is this new one is black. So I talked her out opf buying it cos her mum would kill her.

I met Anna's boyfriend too. he's called Lee, I dunno how old he is, but he looks like 18. He works at the Tesco in Westhill and lives in a forest beside Peterculter. That's right he's a little rich boy. He has an HD tv and a Bluray player. He's nice though, kinda quiet. But that could be cos he'd just met me. Anna already wants to change him. She wants him to grow his hair out cos he looked better with it longer. So I don't think they'll last.

Anyhoos time to get ready for work.

I've been feeling pretty shit lately and for the life of me, I probably couldn't narrow it down for you.
I'm staying at my Parent's for the weekend to give Nick a break from me. And I said that to him and he just gave me that 'don't be stupid' look. But I can feel him getting bored of seeing me everyday. Or maybe he's just really tired from work. But whenever we talk, he always brings up some other woman, whether it's an ex, someone from work or the supervisor from comunity service. He talks about them in a praising way, and upsets me that I'm getting jealous. I never thought I'd be a jealous person.
It doesn't help when he says think about my manager like "if I was working here and not dating you, I would probably hav asked her out" YEAH! So am I just what he's settled for or is he just a flirt. Aparrently he and Susan (the community service supervisor)get along really well and discuss things like how people are attracted to each other by feremones, and that's what makes here attracted to a guy. YEAH! She's a single mum about Nick's age maybe a bit older. And now Nick's talking about trying to get a job at the community service place.
But at the end of it all he tells me that he can't just talk to a woman without flirting with her. And that's all it is, is flirting. He'll always come home to me.
I wish I wouldn't let it get to me. I makes me get really down and it's affect other areas of my life. And I don't want to ask him about cos he'll think I'm psychotic, possessive freak.

Is he just settling for me until something better comes along

I'm trying to get my hands on some Sugary too, in blue. I'm really diggin blue just now lol But I'm not buying anymore loli for the rest oif the month, I used my new credit card to pay for the deposit for the last 3 auctions that I lost. And with it being celga, I doubt they'll give me my money back. They'll just list my account a $XX in credit. Which will encourage me to buy more and the endless cycle continues!

As for work -= For there being record numbers of unemployment, Codonas is so insanely short staffed you don't even know.
Once Joanna leaves I will have SEVEN members of staff to replace.

People are far too proud to work at Codonas, they think it's beneath them. Although they're quick enough to complain about something not being done correctly (when the reason for it not getting done is that we don't have the staff to do it).
We have two members of staff starting this week. Amber has been with us the last few days, she's taken over from Laura M. She's really nice, but tbh I don't think she'll last. And then there's Amy she starts tomorrow. SHe was nice, Jo interviewed her yesterday.

Speak of Jo, it's her Birthday today - Happy Birthday Jo!. I called Amy to ask her to come in today but i didn't get an answer, so I called Jo to find out if something had already been arranged. Here's the convo:
Me: Hi jo, it's laura. I was wondering if you'd asked amy to come in today?
Jo: What?
Me: Did you ask amy to come in today?
Jo: No
Me: okay, That was all I needed to know so...

Y'know jus cos I don't start with "Hi Happy Birthday" Doesn't mean I won't say it at all. Personally I'm a buisness before pleasure kind of person. I hate being made to feel like an ass-hole. And I just know she's gonna get pissy with me over it.

The tale of the 7yr old racist

I was at Anna's house last night and her folks had invited over thier friends. They took the 7yr old gand-daughter, Jordan, with them. We had Jordan up in Anna's room so she could play the rabbit and we put on the High school Musical soundtrack for her. Being seven, she adores HSM. So to be nice we asked her stuff about it. I asked her who her favourite character was, suprise suprise it was Troy. Then I ask why no one ever chooses Chad.
Jordan says: Because he's got fuzzy hair and dark skin.
Out of the mouths of babes
I was so suprised that I laughed, then Anna and I gave her the whole racial equality talk. I think it just went over her head.
But I don't think her parents would really care anyway, this is a kid that has a Bebo six years before she legally should and her parent allow it. In fact her Gradma pretty much bragged about it cos lil'Jordan plays chess on her Bebo.

Anyway, I met up with Anna again today and we went into town. She had to get her tongue bar changed so we went to Retros. OMG the corsets they have in there, I'm in love.
Actually I'm gonna go see if I can find them cheaper on-line.

Wow it's been a while.

So here's my week in a nutshell:
*Monday*
Off Work, so I spent the day knitting and watching the Gilmore Girls (I bought it on dvd). Then I went out to meet Anna, her sister Ashley and Claire(Ashley's friend). We went for a meal at the Triple Kirks, they wouldn't serve us cos we didn't have ID and we only wanted food. We ended up in the Old School House and I had Mac and Cheese which was yummy.
Then we went to see Marley and Me. It was better than I expected and it made me cry at the end. Which wasn't good as my contacts nearly fell out.

*Tuesday*
Off work again. Met up with Richard and went to get some art supplies. Then he took me round to Lauren's flat which was total LULZ. Went to class, drew like a 3 year old and got praised for it.

*Wednesday*
Cleaned the Congo and scrubbed the floor in Rambos with Joanna and Meggan(the new girl). We were there from 10am til 9pm. And Meggan is pissing me off so bad. She won't stop asking stupid questions and it took her 5hrs to clean 3 metres of plants (which is pitiful as the rest of us covered half the course)

*Thursday*
Work. There aren't a lot of parties this weekend so there's not muck work to do during the week. It something like 27 ballons a day, the last few weeks it's been almost 100 balloons a day. And Gillian is being a total ass lately, Joanna says it's because of her position in the company. Gilian is a duty manager so she's not allowed to be friendly with the staff, but she doesn't have to be a bitch.

*Friday*
Off Work Again! so here I am. I'm gonna have a bath soon. Go into town and buy more wool. I want to make some cardigans to sell, cos I really want somethin from the strawberry Jam series and I want some AP socks.

I got paid today!
And I went shopping.
Miss Selfridge had a sale on, but all the good stuff was gone. I did get a really nice dress though. It was £45 down to £20 and it looks a bit like the dress MKA wears in the Wackness (she only has a small part but her character is important to the progression of the story)
I also went to Primark (I'm completly in love with there current ranges)and I bought a new dress and jeans. I've already decided to wear the dress tomorrow when I go to the bank. It might give the impression that I'm responsible.

I've learned something new this morning.
How to increase my max bid with Celga.
Simply place another bid request for the same item with your new max bid.
I thought it'd be treated as a whole new bid request and that I'd have to pay the whole deposit again. But it automatically went through as increasing max bid and I onlu had to pay half or what I'd increased my original bid by (if that makes sense, maybe it's to early for me to make sense lol)

Anyways I hope you're all doing something nice for Mothering Sunday. All I had gotten my mum was a card. She is THEEEEEEEEE most difficult person to get a gift for. I mean how can you get a gift for someone who doesn't like anything. So I bought dinner last night for us both. A large Domino's vegi supreme and a portion of cookies and syrup each. OMG those cookies om nom nom. Personally I think if they came with 6 cookies instead of 4, it would just make it perfect. Next time I might just make my own cookies and buy the syrup tubs.

I'm going home to Nick's tonight although, depending what time I start on monday, I might not get to see him as he finishes work a like midnight. I've got a load of new music added to my external hard dive. I checked it last night and there's almost 35,000 songs on there.My Lawd. I really should get that I-pod soon. I want a classic 160gb but I can't decided on white or black, I wish it came in pink. I'll find out the dimentions and see if I can get a cute cover for it.

I'm up way too early. I didn't mean to get up until 9am and woke up just before 8am(it's now only just half past) Meh.

But some of the things I have won are really cute. Nick said I'm allowed to but Lolita things as long as I actually wear them and that they don't arrived until May-ish. Which is perfect timing, as that is when my new shoes will arrive and that's when the weather is really nice. Although having said that, the weather the past few days has been amazingly warm.

I have an appointment with the bank on Tuesday at 10.30am to 'review' my account. Whatever that means. I asked Joanna at work and she said it might have something to do with my card. I have a Visa electron debit card with an under 19's account and she thinks it's just gonna be changing me to a current account with a set over draft. I'm not keen on over drafts. Mike has a £2000 over draft, which he has been living in scince I've known. He leaves his bank statements lying around so I'm bound to get curious even though I shouldn't. Last time I saw it his balance was like -£1400something. YEAH!

Speaking of Joanna - SHE'S HANDED IN HER FUCKING NOTICE. That puts me at the top of the rota and leaves us without a supervisor. Usually when someone threatens to leave someone within the company will beg them to stay even going as far as creating a whole new positon just for them. But Joanna got nothing. And what happens with the supervisors position hasn't been discussed yet. Joanna doesn't leave until April 20th so that should be enough time for a new supervisor to be chosen and trained. I'll happily take it since I was doing bits of her jobs anyway.

I'm so excited to have the internet here, that this is a completely unneeded update lol.

So last night I went to my life-drawing class, Mike gave me a lift so I was really early. I was actually waiting for my lecturer for once. And I got to see our model fully clothed for a change. He's a lot better looking clothed than he is naked. This week we started working with colour, using warm and cold colours for shading. I used oil pastels for the first time in a few years (I'm very rusty with them)My task piece was crap and then we did a hour study. I liked my study until I put colour to it, now it kinda looks like a kids drawing. There's an older guy there called Max, he works as an illistrator. His work in class is amazing, and he likes my work. He says I have a lot of natural talent but I just lack experience with my work. It's been a while since I've had such a complement.

Ugh, this laptop is buggin. The battery doesn't even last 2hrs. I'll have to time it and see if it's gonna be worth taking out any where. Cos I'll always have to have the charger with me.

Meh. Time to get ready for work. Joanna fucked up on the rota and only gave herself one day off and gave me three, so I was asked to give up today. Which sucks cos I already had my week planned. I was gonna go home today after walking Nick to his community service. We slept in so he didn't go (even if you're only a minute late they'll turn you away) So yeah.

So I went back to PC World on Sunday with Nick. We picked a nice shiney black Dell laptop. It came with a T-mobile unlitied* contract and after 2years we get to keep the Laptop for free.
Then came the annoying part. The assistant was doing the credit check and I failed due to a multiple address match in their system.(this happens in blocks of flats that use the alphabet to name each flat) The assistant call up T-mobile and they were going to register me manually.
Then came the really annoying part. They couldn't verify my address, they couldn't verify my account and so couldn't verify who I was. They asked for a £350 deposit for security purposes, but the assistant got them down to a £100 deposit on the condition that I didn't make any intenational calls on the sim for the first 30 days. I promise I won't - I have no numbers to call abroad so it's not really an issue. I didn't have the money cos I didn't get paid until yesterday. So we went back today and paid it and took it home and I'm using it now.

It thought I'd like having mobile internet, but it need a good signal to work well. It's sometimes almost as slow as dial-up. And when it doesn't have a good enough signal it'll boot me off. Meh, maybe it'll just take some getting used to. On the plus side it has built in Wifi, so next time I go to Starbucks I can get internet access for the price o a few coffees.

At least now I don't have to walk 5miles to get the internet lol.

Lifes been a bit off lately. I think it's cas I'm not quite settled at Nick's yet, hopefully soon though.

I found my camera, so I'll be listing many things on ebay over the next week or so. I was checking celga the other day and the exchange rate has gotten better: 92 yen to the dollar. But the dollar/pound is pretty much still the same.

I went with Anna to PC World today, it was thee biggest waste of my saturday afternoon EVAR!
Anna doesn't care what kind of laptop or what service of internet she gets, as long as the laptop stores alot and the internet access is unlimited* (Astrix implies the fair usage policy, not that Anna understands what that is). She doesn't take in to account proccessor, RAM, connection speed of the fact that she could get an external hard drive that store over a fucking Terabyte if she wanted. Meh Saturday fucking wasted.

It's gonna be months before I get another saturday off.
